Getting Started with Product Photo Studio

Installation#

1. Open any Figma design file
2. Go to Menu → Plugins → Manage plugins
3. Search for "Product Photo Studio"
4. Click Install

Quick Start#

Product Photo Studio is a batch pipeline: you select several images at once, configure the steps a single time, and run them all in one pass.

Step 1: Select Your Images#

Select any number of layers with an image fill — a rectangle, a frame or a direct image layer. The plugin picks up every image in your selection and lets you page through them with the ‹ 1 / X › navigator.

Step 2: Open the Plugin#

Launch it from Menu → Plugins → Product Photo Studio or search with Ctrl/Cmd + /.

Step 3: Configure the Pipeline#

Enable the steps you need. They always run in this order:

1. Remove background — AI cutout of the product (1 credit per image)
2. Edge outline — optional white sticker-style outline around the cutout (free)
3. Upscale — AI upscale 2× (1 credit) or 4× Ultra (3 credits)
4. Background — keep transparency, or place the cutout on white or any custom color (free)
5. Trim to subject — auto-crop to the product with 0–20% padding (free)
6. Shadow — drop shadow or reflection under the product (free)
7. Size — resize to a marketplace preset or a custom size up to 4096 px (free)
8. Output — replace the original layers, or create processed copies next to them

With several images selected, the edit-scope bar lets you choose Edit all images (the default — every change applies to the whole batch) or This image only for per-image tweaks.

Step 4: Run the Batch#

Click Process. Images are handled one by one with a progress bar; each result is applied to the canvas as soon as it's ready, so interrupting the run never loses completed work.

Step 5: Review and Export#

In the results view you can browse before/after for every image, re-apply the free steps with Adjust settings at no extra cost, and download the whole batch as a ZIP of PNG, JPG or WebP files with quality and target-size control.

Marketplace Size Presets#

Anything else is covered by Custom size… up to 4096 px.

Understanding Credits#

Credits are only spent on the AI steps. Everything else — edge outline, backdrop, trim, shadow, resizing, copies and export — is free and unlimited.

• Free credits: 5 every week, refreshed on a rolling 7-day window from your first use. No signup or account required.
• Purchased credits: never expire. Buying credits replaces the free weekly allowance — the two don't stack.
• Credits are deducted only on success and refunded automatically if a step fails.

Supported Image Types#

Product Photo Studio works with most common image formats:

• JPEG / JPG
• PNG
• WebP

The AI handles a wide variety of subjects:

• Products — bottles, electronics, clothing, accessories
• People — portraits, group photos, full body
• Animals — pets, wildlife
• Objects — furniture, food, décor

Tips for Best Results#

1. High-resolution originals produce better cutouts — the pipeline works at full resolution
2. Clear subject separation — images with a distinct product work best
3. Good lighting — well-lit images are easier for the AI to process
4. Upscale before resizing up — if the source is small, run 2× or 4× rather than stretching it with a size preset
5. Avoid complex edges — hair and fur are handled well, but extremely fine details may need manual cleanup
